Dr. Masami Nakagawa

Dr. Masami Nakagawa (Ph.D. Theoretical Mechanics, Cornell University) is associate professor
at Colorado School of Mines. He developed a course on geothermal energy at Mines in collaboration with the School for Renewable Energy Science in Iceland. He created the Geothermal Academy, networking existing and future geothermal programs. Dr. Nakagawa is involved in DOE funded geothermal projects at CSM and works with an NGO in Indonesia on micro-hydro projects. He is a visiting professor with the Bolivian Catholic University at La Paz and has most recently conducted research in Japan and led trans-national renewable energy program exchanges between university staffs and students.
